With former Reading manager Brian McDermott currently entertaining
odds of around 14/1 to be the next Blackburn Rovers boss, Toggertista has vital
information on the candidacy process with regards the vacant post. It seems
that the shrewd owners of the Lancashire club are hiring managers based on
their appeal to a predominately Asian market that is as yet untapped by any
football club; Buddhism. If we take a
look at every managerial appointment since the Venky’s takeover it is plain to
see that Steve Kean, Henning Berg, and Michael Appleton all have one thing in
common, the fact that they look like
followers of the Buddhist faith due to being bald. In fact Toggertista has it
on good authority that the only reason Michael Appleton was sacked was due to
the fact that a better bald manager, Brian McDermott, became available. No doubt Rovers’ fans will be pleased to hear
that the club is finally moving in a coherent direction, we caught up with one
supporter who said; ‘This is certainly
good news for the club, due to Buddhists disregard of material possessions it
means they probably have a lot of cash lying around that they can invest in
Rovers, perhaps we might even bring Ivan De La Pena out of retirement.’ This is the smartest thing Venky’s have done.
